Like most boys growing up in the late 70’s and early 80’s, I was hopelessly in love with Debbie Harry. She was just the coolest, prettiest, most exciting woman I had ever come across.
And she could sing.
She also fronted a totally cool group of guys. As the band Blondie, they made one hell of a ruckus.
What a goddess!

‘Dreaming’ is one of many, many brilliant Blondie tracks.
Released in 1979, it was the lead single from their fourth album Eat to the Beat.
Band member Chris Stein thought of the lyrics for “Dreaming”, which originated from the line, "dreaming is free,”.
After hearing the music for the song that Stein wrote, Debbie Harry wrote the rest of the lyrics
Stein has since claimed that "Dreaming" is "pretty much a copy" of "Dancing Queen" by ABBA.
OK, really? If so, it’s way cooler….
